This is one of our favorite quotes from the book Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli and the first logo created for our Stargirl organization.  The Stargirl Society was developed by a group of high school girls in Kent, Ohio after reading Jerry Spinelli's book. The goal of their program was to inspire other girls to value their creativity and individualism.

Perhaps you can identify some girls in your classroom or school who are Stargirls.
